ARDIENTE (absolute attitude)is my first sculpture/resin. He is a Spanish type stallion (Andalusian, Lusitano...), doing what stallions do - performing that cool collected dance, pawing, snorting, shaking his head and calling out to the ladies. What a ham! You can see more recent shots here. Ardiente is a big boy- he is 12" x 13" in his hairless form (about Peter Stone drafter dimensions). He is in a two-point stance, but plans are that he will balance on his long blowing tail. That is theory at this point. He may require a stand of some type. The second version, if more conservative, will probably require a stand. I'd like your input on what type of stand you prefer. Reinforcements will secure three legs and his tail. I don't know yet whether he will be hollow or solid- I will follow the recommendations of the caster (also undetermined). The ad on the site was a mock up done over a year ago to gather input and determine whether he was cast-worthy. Many thanks to Candace Liddy and Sarah Minkiewicz-Bruenig for helping me to smack him into better shape since then- soooo much yet to learn! Our hobby is indeed blessed to have artists of this caliber who are so unselfish and willing to help. I can tell you from experience- it ain't that way in the real world!
Purchase - I'm learning as I go with this resin stuff, so here is the plan. Once he is completed for casting his regular run, I will take orders. (since he is unfinished, I want folks to see before they buy) The regular pricing will probably be $200- depending on the final cost of casting. Please join my cool new announcement list (thanks again, Liz & Mooly!). He will be offered there first, then publicly. There will be 100 of the wild version cast. Probably 50 of the other version- entirely dependent on interest. I do accept PayPal, Money orders, Cashiers' Checks, or personal checks (ha- sounds just like an auction)
Two Versions -
Artist's Proofs - I'm genuinely honored (HA! try Blown Away!) at the interest shown. Thank you, Pamala |
