Paradise Garage

From: Manolo Illescas (manolo.illescas@adecco.es)

woke up early, i arrived home from london at 2 am and the bus madrid - lisbon was leaving at 12 AM.

I arrived there at 8 PM and met my friend david 'fletcher' currently in lisbon for a course.

We had no tickets cause fernando jorge didnīt buy them ?

In the queue no one had a spare ticket and everybody told me that it was sold out.

I saw big dave out the venue and told him about it all and he, very mindful, wrote us down in the guest list.

I didnīt took my camera so no photos for that night.

Scott and mark were around the venue. I asked scott about a mish reconstruction and new album and he told me that it was going to happen. I asked the same mark and we joke about if wayne would be in the new Mission.

there was a support band called... i canīt remember their name but they were really crap. Wwhen they finished i tried to get the first rows but nobody allowed me, i supposed that i will reach them as soon as pale start...

The band went out and i tried to get the first rows, but nobody moved, they were just standing.

the mish did the classic show (pale/hands/blue/butterfly/cain/severina/garden/swoon/tower/deliverance, probably iīm forgettin someone)

the audience were as crap as the support band and wayne had no idea how to cheer it all up

i really was bored, the three shows in the uk were superb with all people shouting and jumping and all these portuguese people were just standing and that wasnīt the fucking cinema, it was a mission show.

the choruses were for canīt help, dancing barefoot (but iīm not sure if they did dancing barefoot in lisbon and like a child in porto or viceversa) serpents kiss, blood brother (wayne asked, do you know blood brother? i donīt know if they knew), hurricane, wasteland and 69

after the show i tried to buy a ticket but i didnīt get it (thanks the lord it was the same ticket than for porto the night after)

i went to the backstage and met the band, said hello and asked craig about the coloursound project, he told me that it was almost finished, shit, it is the best iīve heard for ages

i said hi to wayne and went out

they were going to a goth club in lisbon but i needed to rest in peace and sleep that night

thatīs all
