Hey people,
Just woke up, ooooh yup. Great show, Simon did join the boys onstage for the closing. They did Like a Hurricane, Beyond the Pale and 1969. It was electric. Boy does Simon look different with his head shaved. They got into a heavy groove, Simon looked liked he was having a blast. Great finger work on BTP. Wayne did Dancing Barefoot, or as much as he could remember, bugged him about it afterward. Also did "I can't help falling in in Love", I think it is called that Wayne. We discussed it afterwards but couldn't agree on the title. You know "wise men say, only fools rush in". Anyway, it was brilliant. Sorry about the minimal review, but the rooms kinda spinning, and I'm kinda grinning and I desperately need something to knock this rock n' roll headache. Thanks guys for a wonderful evening. Oh yah, remember, when in doubt always go for the shortest pair of socks available, it can put some people in the worst moods. Ya know what I mean?
Cheers
Jim

Hi gang , i'll keep these reports as short as pos' and try to cover more 'behind the sceans' than any thing else. Arrive at Seattle airport , Jaymo and Mel there to pick us up . Jaymo's car is really too small for 4 people so we have to have our luggage on our laps as we sit in the back and head out looking for the gig site . Find it than head back to look for a hotel to freshen up and eat. Get back to the Fenix at 3.00pm as we have to meet the band bus to unload it . 4.00pm still waiting and the nice sunny day is turning into f***ing frezzing cold . Corner of my eye i see a tall 'skinhead' looking guy walk in, hmmm , should i mention that its not open yet as no one from the club is present to stop people coming in , not my problem . Finally the band arrive with Mr. Huss' driving , seems they had hit traffic on the way hence the late arrival . Jaymo and myself start to unload the gear and get it in when the tall 'skinhead ' guy appears again and gives Wayne a big hug......f*** me its the cheeky chappy himself Simon Hinkler !!!!!!! GLJ arive and we unlaod them as well ,as the Craig and Wayne talk to Simon . Wayne goes upstairs to look for a line to hook up the laptop so as to inform the list that Simon is here . " You gonna play tonite" Wayne shouts down . "Thought i might give it a go " says Simon . "What do you want to play " says Wayne , and Simon shouts back "beyond the pale "...."oh no , we open with that one..........alright, we'll change it around and open with Wasteland " says Wayne . Simon gets introduced to Mark and straps on Waynes guitar, they find a corner and Mark gives Simon a quick refresher course on Beyond the pale . Meanwhile the sound check is not going well at all ,Milkey can not get the sound he wants and time is running out. I go over and watch Simon and Mark ...this is very f***ing trippy !!!!! Mark leaves him to it and i talk to Simon for awhile about various things, he wants Mark on stage as well as he thinks it would be good to have him cover just in case (how cool is this guy !!!!) Meanwhlie Mark has asked my girlfriend Rachelle if she could do the live photos for the web page for the rest of the dates that we will be going to....cool . We take off for a while and return via the front door and go down stairs to see 'Karen Black'......very crazy , i recieve a direct hit from an egg filled with 'blood' on my new white Mish shirt. We meet up with the girls from 'Doppleganger' the first band on downstairs and they insist we go to their dressing room to help them drink beer as they have too much . Shit , its late ....the Mish are on already , we run upstairs and its too late to get the camera off of Mark , its ok though as Mike Peters has got it. The house is very full but not packed , but the sound is not good and seems to be getting worse . Wayne says to the crowd "i'm not very happy tonight , its not you lot or this place , dont know what it is.......i think.....my socks are too tight ! " yeah right ! They go off and come back on and Wayne says " this is Simon , he is one of you lot he's from your town " and they go into 'Pale', 'Hurricaine', and 1969 . Wayne goes down on the floor in front of Simon as he plays and does the 'other Wayne' pose of we are not worthy , we are not worthy as i dance with Simons wife Debbie who can't figure out what is happening to 1969 as it is starting out diff' from the orignal. Simon waits for Mark to finish the on the 'wow wow' pedal and all 3 gutiars than kick in......whow!!!! The set ends , i say bye to Simon and his wife and we swap e-mail address's .Jaymo and myself jump on stage and start packing up and loading the van, by now the true meaning of being an eskimo comes into play as it is now REALLY FREZZING. I end up leaving most of it to Jaymo as Wayne has asked me to handle getting fans lined up to go back stage. I dont see any mishlist laminates , oh well . Every one wanting to go back i get in , but as i'm not sure if Wayne is still not very happy i tell the autograph hunters to keep it short and sweet . Finally we are all told to clear the building as they want to lock up,we say bye to the guys and as we leave the girls from Doppleganger give me shirts and make us promise to go to thier next gig in L.A.......we head back to the hotel and stay up talking till 4.00am about the gig and Mr. Hinkler . Tomorrow is Reno.... thats all for now, look out for 'day two of the eskimo tour' coming soon , mean while let me know what you think to this report , bye for now
