Here's part 2 of Heaven:

We got back into Milwaukee at about 1:30pm. I had to take Jen to her Apt. to get something she wanted Wayne to sign that night and then I took her back to where she's was staying that night. (Long Story) Then I went home. I got to be home for about and hour only. I popped in the "Jezebel" cd while getting reading to leave again so I could give Jay my thoughts (he asked). WOW! If your a GLJ fan Buy "Jezebel" It's INCREDIBLE!!!! I left then to go back by Jen. I got to use the computer there to read the 132 emails I had! (One of them was from Jay) and then we had to get ready to leave for the show...

We got to the Rave at about 5:15. The bands had not yet arrived. We walked a block to a Cash Machine so I could get more $ for the rest of the merchandise I wanted...at about 5:30 they showed up. Mike and Jules came in 1st again. We chatted for a bit, and then Jay and Jess came in, talked to Jay about the email and the Jezebel cd. Then Pete and James came in. Everyone was wandering around the Rave looking at all the pictures on the walls and then Wayne came in. This time we got to say more that just "Hi." I introduced myself and thanked Wayne for the photo pass. He signed some stuff for us, and we wanted to do pictures, but he had his regular glasses on, not the dark ones- so after the show would be the time...He had some stuff to go finish (I'll leave that part out) so then he left. It was going on 6pm by then and everyone had gone in for soundcheck. A delivery person came in at about 6pm with a long white box for Wayne. Someone (don't know who) sent him flowers. The guy asked us where we could find "a Mr. Wayne Hussey" we sent him over to the soundboard, cuz Wayne was still out of the building....

Wayne came about about 15 mins. later and they started soundcheck. "Over the Hills", "Butterfly", and "Tower". I was very excited to hear "Over the Hills". I knew we'd have a different set-list (but I didn't know how different!) I only heard GLJ do "Down" again in their soundcheck, cuz Ian (from the list) showed up from Chicago with his friend. Hi Ian!!! Now call me a "shmuck" cuz for the life of me I couldn't remember his friend's name! Then we met another person from the list, "a lurker" he called himself. Hi Bob! Bob, along with myself had a photo pass as well. We talked until the doors opened and I went down in front.

Mike went on late so he didn't play very long :( But he sang "Kalidescope" again. And I yelled for "Unsafe Building" which he did! Thanx Mike! No jam with James and Craig...I took the rest of the pictures left on the roll in my camera...(I wasted a few testing something)

GLJ took the stage on time at 9pm. I tried to get the best shots I could I hope they turn out! I took 2 rolls of their set. Set list was the same as Chicago...Jay was sooo intense. He really has an amazing voice. I love his stage presence.....He is truly beautiful.

Wayne & co, took the stage at about 10:30 again. And the set list was much different! I'm sure I got alot of cool pics I hope. As soon as Halloween is over and my life gets "sane" again, I'll get the pics developed and take them to my freind's house (he has a scanner) and I will sent them to Elizabeth so you can see them....

1969

After the show I met the other Ian from the list, and We hung out for quite a while after that. I wasn't leaving without my picture of Wayne!!!! Plus I forgot to ask him somwthing (A friend of mine wanted to know if Wayne knew when the Gossemer album was coming out, and I forgot to ask earlier.) We talked to James and Mike and Jules for a bit again and I spent another $55 on merch...We talked forever with Jay it seems and took a bunch of pictures...Still no sign of Wayne.

By this time pretty much everyone else was gone. I wish everyone would have stayed cuz they aren't gonna like the next part. (Sorry Ian!) I'm surprized we were allowed to say as long as we did. The Staff the the Rave are jerks, but they probably thought we were with the bands or something. But luck ran out and we got kicked out. So me and my friends (Jen, Laurel, Laurie, and Carol) and Bob from the list went to wait out side. We said goodbye to Jay, and Mike and James and went out front. About 15 minutes later Craig and Wayne came out. I got to ask Wayne about the Gossemer cd (He didn't know when the release date is) We took pictures and we talked about everything from the "last time" we saw Wayne and the Mish, to Dylan (his Daughter) & the change in temperature that day. (It was nice all day, then that evening got pretty cold.) My friend Laurie made the comment that "It's so cold, my nipples could cut glass!" We laughed so hard and that was it...Time to go home and go to bed...Off to Minn. they went! THANX SOOOO MUCH WAYNE! You made my day! See you soon, I hope!

Well I'm out a here for today... Thanx for listening to me ramble....

In the spirit of the 80's Mission pilgrimmages, Ian (aforementioned Eskimo though he claims he was never one ;) and I decide to head up to Milwaukee for the next night's show. We find the venue pretty easily or the venue finds us as the neighborhood is pretty creepy in itself. We meet up with Brenda again and wait around until doors open.

Finally doors open. The venue looks and sounds like a converted warehouse. The echo is horrendous compared with the HOB show. The crowd was about 150 deep by my guestimation as the show was very sparsely attended.

Mike and GLJ do pretty much the same set although neither looks as enthused as the previous night in Chicago.

Mish come on and do the pretty much the same set as the night before. To my delight, instead of playing "Severina" and "Blood Brother", Wayne suprises us with "Over the Hills.." and "Serpent's Kiss" which makes the journey worth it. Not as many comments from Wayne as the night before though, but still a good show.

See you at the next Mish show in 2010, I'll be the one with the cane.
